How to review my New website?
What did you achieve? What went well? What didn’t go so well?
These are the questions you can asked to your Website Manager at the ending of any year.
It’s also an opportunity for us to consider what we can do better this year. For example: I need to do more of this and less of that.
January is also a good time to review your website:
Is it serving you well?
Does it still reflect your business and where you are right now?
Do some pages need to be updated or removed?
Does it reflect your priorities for the year ahead?
Let’s explore some of the areas you may want to think about.
Does your website attract your ideal client?
First get to grips with exactly who your ideal client is, then craft your content around them. Consider all the content on each page and ask yourself if it will resonate with them.
Will the images catch their attention? Does the copy speak to them? Will the navigation make sense to them?
Make sure every aspect of your website is designed with your ideal client in mind.
Does your website reflect your goals?
Does your website align with the goals you have for the year ahead?
You may have some excellent content, but it is out of date because it was posted months or even years ago. Go through all your content and consider where you can add new insights, statistics, or resources to reflect where you are at in your business right now.

Are your key products and services highlighted in the content and can they be easily found in the menu? Is there a clear call-to-action for these products so the visitor can easily move forward in the customer journey?

Don’t try to have too many goals for your website. Rather than trying to communicate too many things, focus on the key things and showcase them well.
Does your website reflect your personality?
Whether you are a big business or solopreneur, your brand personality should shine through on your website.
Does it reflect your values and how you do business?
