Fotios Tsiouklas and Alan Gokoglu

Today, 33% of businesses fail within the first six months. As such, it is nothing short of a miracle to find two versatile entrepreneurs who are only 19 years old. Fotios Tsiouklas and Alan Gokoglu are co-founders of businesses that constitute they’re $5 million portfolios. The two have just graduated High School, yet, they have established a multi-million dollar social tech company plus three nightclubs.

Here is how the two entrepreneurs managed to create a multi-million dollar business by 19.

The Beginning

Fotios Tsiouklas and Alan Gokoglu are fresh, young, fun, tech entrepreneurs who know how to party. The two own the most popular nightclubs in Melbourne – The Levels Melbourne and Mango Friday. The two are also street smart, not just computer smart. When Fotios and Alan met, they did not like each other. But, over time, the two became best friends and business partners.

From an early age, Fotios had already created business plans for education apps, websites, and even charities. One of his 1st ventures was a website dubbed fotoz.com.au. The site was a social media network for photographers. Fotios started the website with a carefully written business plan and sample websites. However, he was told by those around him that his idea would not work. Later that year, a very similar website/app was released – Instagram. When Fotios saw the success of Instagram, he realized that he had the potential to succeed.

At 13 years old, Fotios started his first successful online store. He would take Gaming codes that had come out in 2013 and were being sold on a very unpopular website at the time (g2a.com). G2A is now one of the biggest game sellers in the world. Fotios would contact the owners of this game site, buy codes in bulk, and sell them at wholesale prices.

During this time, Alan was also doing incredible things at a very young age. At just age 10 Alan made plugins for games when he was first learning how to program. Then at age 12, he built his first app store games and then started building utility applications. By the age of 15, he reverse-engineered social media algorithms to create his first business which made about 50k profit. In 2017, he partnered with his friend Fotios, and the two started an agency known as Kickspan.

Creating Tech Businesses

Fotios and Alan started their business empire by venturing into the tech niche. They started Kickspan.com, an agency that helps clients increase their social media following. By May 2020, Kickspan was valued at $5 million. The company has also turned over $150,000 monthly in subscription profit. But how did Kickspan expand so fast? The entrepreneurs grew their business using data collection and email marketing as their primary sources of traffic. The two entrepreneurs also leveraged a dedicated landing page and a strategic sales funnel. This strategy resulted in over 12,000 clients joining the platform in just two years.

Today, Kickspan offers a range of digital services: lead generation, email marketing, data collection, web development, SMS marketing, app development, and many more.

Lesson Learned:

Several factors helped the young entrepreneurs reach success at just 19 years old. Some of the factors include:

  • Identify a need in the market:

Currently, 42% of businesses fail because there is no market need. Fotios and Alan managed to succeed because they gathered data about their competitors and the target audience. Moreover, a data-driven marketing strategy helped them create targeted campaigns that were more effective at appealing to the target audience.

  • Take Risks:

There is no doubt that Fotios and Alan are risk-takers. They purchased the TikToks domain around six months ago with the prediction that TikTok would become the next most significant social media platform in the world. Today, TikTok is one of the fastest-growing social media platforms in the world. The fact that the two entrepreneurs invested in TikTok before it became a hit is proof that they are risk-takers.

  • Networking:

Networking is an essential step towards forming the right relationships in a niche. These are relationships that can help a business gain new customers or expand. Fotios and Alan have established business relationships with other serial entrepreneurs and celebrities. For instance, the CLOUT franchise development involved networking with Kuei Kuei who is a famous gamer and entrepreneur in the gaming industry. The game’s launch also involved collaborations with major artists such as Supreme Patty, XXXTENTACION, and YBN Nahmir. Two of which are in the top 20 trending artists in the world.

Alan and Fotios struggled to prove themselves in the tech niche. However, the impressive results they have delivered to their clients is proof that business has nothing to do with age.
