3 Keys to Creating a Successful and Good Brand Name

Establishing a good brand name is vital for any online business. Just like bricks and mortar businesses, an online business needs to project itself in a positive manner and have value in order to have success. Create a good brand name online is more than acquiring a website, having a catchy phrase and slapping on a logo. It’s not rocket science either, but there is a little work in order to set yourself apart from your competition. Three key facets for establishing and creating a successful and good brand name will be discussed.
Good Brand Name Key #1 – Know Your Audience
One of the best ways to establish a good brand name is to know your audience. Look at the following questions; What does your audience want to know? What do they want to achieve? What do they already know? Who is my audience? Why do they want to know? How do the answers to these questions relate to your business and do you have what it takes to satisfy their wants and needs? You need to be very specific with these questions. As an example, if you were to ask someone in Michigan in January, what is cold? The answer would be quite different if the same question was asked to someone in Florida. You see, get very specific when asking these types of questions and you’ll have a much better understanding of your target audience.
Good Brand Name key #2 – Competitors
Research and learn what your competitors are doing. Find what their strengths and their weaknesses are and how they are viewed by consumers. You can easily find out what people are saying about them by using current technology. Search online forums. Use Google searches. Read online articles. Use any means you can think of to find as much information as possible about your competition and where their weakness lies.
Good Brand Name Key #3 – Set Yourself Apart
Set yourself apart by using what you have learned about your competition. Use their weakness to your advantage. Your research findings, if done properly, should lead you to some audience questions that are not being satisfied effectively. Make your competitor’s weakness your strength and you will set yourself apart.
Take the time and to really find your target audience by asking yourself some simple questions. Research your competition to find some weakness you can exploit by fulfilling your audience needs. With a little research and a little work you can create a successful and good brand name.
