A Conversation with Coach Meddy

Coach Meddy is a name that certainly needs no introduction in the world of fitness. An accomplished French celebrity Personal Trainer and Social Media Influencer, Meddy’s popularity transcend the borders of Dubai, where he is currently based. Meddy’s impressive credentials include The Best Personal Trainer of the Year Award, The Fit Awards, 2017, UAE, and Brand Ambassadorship for Fairmont The Palm in Dubai. He has built up an enviable reputation on the back of his results-driven approach catered to the individual needs of each client.

The MMF Protocol

Meddy attributes the success of his training methods to a unique fitness system he created called the MMF Protocol. He cites it as the main reason why world-class athletes reach out to him when they’re in Dubai. “They want something different and so I have my own method. I have a martial arts background and I’m a REPS Personal Trainer as well. The MMF Protocol stands for Mixed Martial and Football Protocol. The Protocol gives fast and sustainable results and it is optimized with a specific nutrition plan”, he says.

The MMF protocol also provides some profound benefits for anyone who wants to get into their best shape. “It improves mobility, coordination, awareness, strength, power, speed, and endurance. It also helps with fat loss, building lean muscle and strengthens the cardiovascular (anaerobic), hormonal, and nervous systems.”

MMF and the Football Elite

While Coach Meddy has worked with a number of high-profile celebrities outside of the world of sport including American singer, Jason Derulo, and French TV stars Thibault Garcia and Jessica Thivenin. He is best known for his work with elite footballers, just some of the impressive names that have trained with Meddy include Nicolas Anelka, Patrice Evra, Blaise Matuidi, Medhi Benatia, and football teams such as Juventus Turin, Borussia Dortmund and AS Monaco. “Personally, I love working with them [football players] because they are so competitive and hate losing, even if it’s just one game’, he says.

The MMF protocol has been deftly employed by Meddy to target the unique challenges that football players have. “As a football player, they need endurance, stamina, and speed but we try to work on the mobility of the hips as well because football players have closed hips. So we need to open them up to boost their mobility as well as the range of motion.”

Meddy is vocal about the efficacy of working with a personal trainer as opposed to training on your own. “A Personal Trainer is not only here for motivation but to prevent malpractices and injuries by being attentive and detail oriented. Thanks to his experience and knowledge, a personal trainer is able to help you reach your goal in a predicted time frame. He knows you so he can adapt the workout, or in my case, the MMF protocol to your fitness level, your mood, your specificities, and your preferences.”

Coach Meddy provides personal training, corporate wellness consults, sports activity sessions and nutritional consulting through his website. He is also currently working extensively on his sports media brand NA39, a collaborative mobile app venture with veteran footballer Nicolas Anelka.
