August The Collection Donates Masks to Camden Community

New Jersey-based fashion startup August The Collection is extending help the community of Camden County by donating hundreds of face masks to the public. With this, the fashion company hopes to help those in dire need of protection during this unprecedented crisis.

Born and raised in New Jersey’s Camden Corridor, Ryon fondly recalls life in the town. “Life was always live and in color,” shares the fashion entrepreneur. “There was so much to see and experience.” Ryon attributes much of her success to her upbringing and the supportive community at Camden.

It’s been reported that the COVID-19 virus has spread to 9,711 Camden County residents and has claimed the lives of 562 people. As cases rise, some private groups have taken initiatives to help those who need it most. One of them is August The Collection, which is led by budding entrepreneur Ryon Reynolds, who hails from the county herself.

After moving from Camden, New Jersey to Staten Island, New York, the up and coming fashion icon has established herself in fashion circles. Ryon began her journey as an aspiring stylist in fitting rooms at Forever 21. She would later move to assist top fashion executives at Ralph Lauren. A dedicated student of the game, Ryon has worked her way up the ranks. Today, she has started to venture out entirely on her own and start building her name in the fashion industry.

August The Collection is a venture dedicated to the late Mr. Ryon C. Reynolds, Ryon’s father. He was born on August 26, 1971. A dreamer and a doer, Mr. Ryon was a faithful servant leader that did not mind getting his hands dirty. In 2017, Mr. Ryon would pass away suddenly. This loss propelled his daughter to go for everything they talked about since she was young and create her own fashion line. Today, she has made that dream a reality and dedicates her creation to her loving father. “He was always the star of my galaxy,” Ryon declares lovingly. Inspired by her father’s undeniable influence, Ryon created a brand that would celebrate the spirit he embodied.

She hopes her collection would become a beacon that radiates confidence and style for patrons all over. Ryan is slowly inching her way into elite fashion circles. Their project involves creating hundreds of masks for people in high-risk areas with COVID-19 positive individuals. Through this simple project, Ryon hopes to do her part while also remembering the level of generosity that her father portrayed.
