If a candidate does not pass their second attempt, Palo Alto Networks requires the candidate to wait 15 business days before they can attempt to pass the exam again. After the third attempt, the candidate must wait an additional 15 business days before attempting to pass the exam again.

Does Palo Alto offer ESL accommodations?

ESL accommodations (30 minute extension) are automatically granted based on candidates’ mailing address.

How long are Palo Alto certifications valid?

The certification is valid for 2 years from the time the certification is granted.

Is it possible to track the expiration date?

Candidates can track the expiration date of an exam taken at a Pearson VUE test center by logging into CertMetrics and selecting the Certification page.

What are the identification requirements for the exam?

• The first and last name that the candidate uses to register must exactly match the first and last name on the two forms of identification presented on test day.

• All required IDs must be issued by the country in which the candidate is testing. If the candidate does not have a qualifying primary ID issued by the country in which they are taking the exam, an international travel passport from their country of citizenship is required, along with a secondary ID.

• The candidate is required to present two original forms of identification (no photocopies or digital IDs), valid (current); one form as primary identification (government-issued with name, recent recognizable photo, and signature) and one form as secondary identification (with at least one name and signature, or name and recent recognizable photo).
