How to make use of seasonal offers when running your own business

Seasonal events are the perfect opportunity to ramp up your marketing strategy. If you have a small business, the festive period is probably your busiest time of year. You can maximise your profits during this season and make the most out of your products.

Hair and beauty businesses will be especially busy in the run-up to Christmas. They need enough professional hairdressing clippers, hair dye, hairdressers and more. Preparation will make the season run smoothly, and profits increase steadily.

Here are a few ways you can make the most out of seasonal offers in your business.

Find the relevant holidays

Seasonal offers aren’t just for Christmas – you can use them all year round. Look at the public holidays’ calendar, and select a few events that coincide with your business products and values. You could look at good cause awareness days, food and drink events and business holidays.

Adapt your products

For bigger holidays, like Christmas and New Year, you could change your product packaging to something more festive. Christmas themed gift wrapping adds a special touch to your products and takes some stress off the customer. They can gift a present that has been pre-wrapped and prepared.

You could offer seasonal gift guides so customers can find products for their loved ones easily. You could write gift guides for different age groups, price ranges or purposes. For example, “gifts for dads who hate sports.”

Use hashtags

The festive season is the perfect time to utilise digital marketing. Join in on the hashtag fun and identify the most popular hashtags associated with the holiday. Tag your seasonal posts and discounts with these hashtags so people can find your post. Seasonal holidays are also a great opportunity to expand your reach and improve engagement on social media.

Make sure you have enough stock

You need to make sure you have enough stock and up to date equipment to handle the increase in sales. There’s no point pushing seasonal discounts if you can’t manage the higher demand. Be prepared for these orders and check your customer service is running smoothly.

Maintaining momentum

There is no time for rest in the post-Christmas slump. You need to keep the momentum up and retain all of your new customers. Engage in Boxing Day sales, Valentine’s promotions and much more to keep people interested.

Maximise your business’ potential this Christmas with seasonal discounts.
