What is a kids Hoverboard?

Many years later this futuristic device ended up giving its name to a special means of transport that is gaining ground in cities all over the world. The self-balancing electric scooter, better known as a hoverboard, is a two-wheeled device that uses technology very similar to that of another vehicle that is now quite widespread, the kids Segways UK.
Like the latter, the kids hoverboard is operated by a specific weight sensor placed on the two platforms where the driver’s feet rest. It is therefore a bicyclic table for the transport of people equipped with a battery with variable autonomy and designed to make short-medium distance trips. Although relatively simple to operate, this type of device is recommended for adult users and is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
What to look for when choosing a hoverboard for kids
When looking for a hoverboard for children, the most important features to keep in mind are certainly safety and reliability, but also the aesthetics should not be underestimated. A colourful hoverboard, with interesting designs and designs, will in fact have much more appeal to the little ones than an anonymous and banal one.
When we talk about safety we refer to the conformity certifications among which we remember the CE one. This certification requires the seller – and ensures the buyer – the use of materials and components that meet the minimum requirements established at the European level.
It is important to make sure that the certification is original, the first step in this direction is to check that the CE mark has a small space between the two letters,
Another internationally recognized certification is UL 2272.
Among the most important parts of the kids hoverboard is the platform which must necessarily be non- slip in order to provide a firm support base for the children’s feet and consequently prevent them from falling.
The platform balancing system is also fundamental, which will help children use the kids hoverboard more easily.
Why is there such a wide range?
Certainly, the intent is to provide as many people as possible with the opportunity to purchase and use a hoverboard for kids, however, it should be remembered that obtaining the certifications required for these machines has a considerable cost and that the choice of construction materials also has weight when it comes to money.
It is therefore not absurd to suppose that the first requirements to be affected by an excessively low price compared to the average are safety and reliability which instead – especially in children’s hoverboards – should represent a discriminating factor in the choice.
In general, any kids hoverboard carries risks – the same risks that the use of a bike or roller skates can bring – however, making sure that the electric skateboard has been subjected to the necessary tests, passing them and always supervising children adequately, these risks certainly decrease.
Another very important factor is of course the place where the product is used; roads, sidewalks and pedestrian zones that forbid it even legally are to be avoided.
