How to Play 2

on 2, the sequel to the popular game about capturing as much territory as possible, is now available. But how do you play 2 now that the rules have changed and we’re no longer using squares but circle-shaped characters?

In today’s guide, we’ll go over exactly that, as well as show you how to play like a pro and always be number one in terms of territory owned!

If you’ve played the original Paperio, you’ll need some time to get used to the new controls. But, in my opinion, this is much easier and provides more options than the square mode, and you’ll get used to it quickly.

Play 2 now

When you move your character/avatar on the screen in 2, it leaves a trail of a specific color. To “capture” the territory you just passed through, the trail must return to your territory.

The difficult part is that when you go out to capture extra territory, your circle is exposed, and any player who “cuts” your paper trail will destroy you. You can and will do the same, but in order to stay alive, you must pay close attention to what’s going on around you, and play is slow.

In other words, in order to get the most out of the game, you should gradually expand your territory, because your circle of paper is invincible when it is in its own territory. You can even run headfirst into your opponents and destroy them. You are only exposed when you are out in public.

When you are out in public

Of course, if you’re not paying attention, other players may begin taking your territory, making things even more interesting and difficult.

To avoid this, go to the screen’s edges, preferably the corners, and expand. In this manner, incoming opponents will have fewer options for attacking, and you will have an easier time defending your territory.

When playing 2 on your mobile device, you can easily control your paper circle with your finger by dragging your finger across the screen. It’s very simple to get used to the game’s control scheme, so it’s an easy game to learn all in all.

Each time you start, you are assigned a color, and there is no way (yet) for you to change it.

You now know how to play 2 with these tips and tricks in mind, so go out there and have fun, enjoying this game on iOS and hopefully on Android soon.
