Covid-19 is a Pandemic And Here's How You Can Stay Safe From It

The world is facing a pandemic and it’s time that all of us should take our individual responsibilities to contain this virus from spreading any further. The authorities can’t do it alone if people don’t help them. Covid-19 that is also known as coronavirus is a virus that many say originate from a wet market in Wuhan city. Although it’s not yet confirmed some say that place was the origin of this virus.

The coronavirus family contains various other viruses as well. Sars and Mers also belonged to the same category of coronaviruses. Although these were labeled as epidemics. When it comes to Covid-19, it has been declared a pandemic. If you don’t know what that means, then, in other words, it’s a global disease. The virus is global right now and most of the countries are taking good measures to contain this virus.

Countries that have been most affected by this virus are China, Italy, and Iran. These are some of the countries where the death rate spiked within weeks. Although China has somehow contained it other countries are now seeing a major spike in new cases. Staying safe from any viral infection is not that difficult. If you can take proper precautions and have a good immune system. All you have to do is take proper care of your hygiene and consume healthy foods like bone broth, fresh fruits, leafy vegetables, and fully cooked meat.

COVID-19 Precautions

As there is no vaccine available for Covid-19, all we can do is take certain precautions that will help us in staying safe from this virus. Even if you are carrying this virus then these precautions will help in stopping any further spread of this virus. Studies have shown that right now this virus is showing exponential growth and one person is infecting 2.5 people on average. Following this growth, the numbers can rise to 400 in a month and all of this started with one person. So here are some of the precautions that you can take in order to stay safe from Covid-19.

  • MAintain Social Distance

As this virus is showing exponential growth the only way to stop it from growing any further is to maintain a social distance. Even if you meet someone try to manage a distance of 3-4 feet. It can be difficult but there is nothing more important than your health. By doing this you are also favoring the other person that can also get infected by you. Avoid going to large gatherings and stay away from those who are already sick.

  • Wash Hands

Washing your hands is the most important factor in preventing Covid-19 from entering your body. If in any case, you do touch a surface that has been contaminated then when you touch your face, it will make it easier for the virus to enter your body. Wash your hands whenever you get the chance, or you can keep an alcohol-based liquid in your pocket that can keep your hands clean.

  • Avoid Unnecessary Travelling

The reason why this virus spread to 130+ countries is that those who were already suffering from it traveled from Wuhan to their country. Some took direct flights while others took long routes. This is how this virus spread across the globe. So avoid any unnecessary traveling and help in containing this virus.

  • Eat Healthy Foods

Boosting your immune system is also very important. A good immune system fights any viral invader that enters your body. You will get sick but your immune system will help in fighting off this infection. Try consuming foods that are rich in vitamin C, vitamin D, iron, zinc, and selenium. Foods like beef bone broth, salmon fish, oranges, nuts, and broccoli are beneficial for your immune system. Although all these foods should be thoroughly cooked. After that, you can consume them.

Final Words:

We are facing a situation that is not normal for this generation and the only way we can contain it is trough following proper precautions. You don’t want to be the person who spreads it to others. You might survive it but maybe the other person won’t, so it’s our responsibility to follow the instructions that WHO is recommending. The precautions that I have mentioned above are the basic instructions that WHO wants people to follow. So in order to stay safe from this virus, all you have to do is maintain a social distance, avoid traveling, take care of your hygiene, and consume healthy foods.
