Movers and Shakers Interview with Ora Nadrich

Tell us your name and a little about yourself.
I’m Ora Nadrich. I’m the founder and president of the Institute for Transformational Thinking (IFTT) and author of Says Who? How One Simple Question Can Change The Way You Think Forever and Live True: A Mindfulness Guide To Authenticity. I’m a Mindfulness teacher and facilitate workshops on Mindfulness and wellbeing. I am also the creator of the online Thought Coach Certification Training Course.
What exactly does your company do?
The Institute for Transformational Thinking is an international organization offering certifications in Thought Coaching. The IFTT provides an immersive experience through online courses, retreats, and webinars, and provides training in Mindfulness for teachers, faculty, students, and parents.
What were the biggest challenges you have faced and how did you overcome them?
The deaths of my brother, Daniel, and my sister, Esther. My sister suffered from mental illness and is the greatest inspiration for my work in the area of mental health. I have overcome the difficulty of their passing by keeping the special memory of them alive and letting them be the reason I want to help people overcome their pain and suffering.
What piece of advice do you wish someone had given you at the start of your career?
To view fear and difficulty as your greatest motivators for the work you do.
Who are your biggest influences and people you admire and why?
My mother, who after raising four children, opened a domestic agency, which she knew nothing about, and turned it into a total success. Also, my husband, Jeff, who came from humble beginnings and created one of the top law firms in LA. He has an amazing work ethic that I admire and is also a great husband and an awesome father to our two sons.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are?
I would say that it’s the same two people who have influenced me the most: my husband, Jeff, and my mother.
What do you see as your greatest success in life?
My two sons, Jake and Ben.
