Movers & Shakers Interview with Chris Kelsey

Tell us your name and a little about yourself.

Dropped out of high school at 17 and started an app development company. I “faked it till I made it” by announcing we had 10m revenue in 2016 when we actually had 354k. I did this to gain attention so that I could fund my dream project, Cazza. The faking it till I made it worked as we ended up receiving almost 1m USD in investments. For the record, we did not lie to the investors about our situation, only on the press. Cazza was a 3D printing construction company that halted in 2017 after my ex-business partner stole almost 1m USD of company funding. After losing all of my money near the end of 2017, I started Kelsey Coin, a digital bank which is my next venture. Kelsey Coin is being used to help fund Our New World, which is the new version of Cazza without my ex-business partner. I am an open book and you can ask me any questions, I am not afraid to answer about any business lies I have made.

What exactly does your company do?

Kelsey Coin is a digital bank with its own currency that allows users to buy/sell products on our upcoming platform (ignore the Hostgator stuff on it, the site isn’t done yet for another month and I just don’t care to update it). allows you to buy/sell/rent properties with Kelsey Coin (Also not yet finished for another month or so). The overall goal is to become the world’s only banking system.

What were the biggest challenges you have faced and how did you overcome them?

Figuring out my life purpose and what I really wanted to do with my life. I learned that my purpose in life is solely to enjoy it. At the same time, I still plan to drastically change the world in the near future with the technologies I’ve worked on, whether Kelsey Coin or Our New World when it launches around the end of the year.

What piece of advice do you wish someone had given you at the start of your career?

Don’t take stress so seriously and if you feel like you have gotten bored with life, just know it is temporary. You will eventually reach a point in your life of pure happiness and understanding of how the world works. I went through many periods of depression and after getting out of my last one near the end of 2017, I have been the happiest person in the world.

Who are your biggest influences and people you admire and why?

My friend Brodie Henderson-Bennett who has a Youtube channel called Brodietv. I greatly admire him because 1) he is a great friend 2) he is on a similar intellectual level as me 3) he helped me overcome my loneliness of finding true friends. My other friend Cam Upson has also inspired me by showing the fun side of life and how to chill. He’s escaped cops in dirtbike chases along with a ton of other cool stuff, he is a great friend of mine that I met on a video game, Arma 2, back in 2012. The third person is Hisham Kalo, he absolutely saved our asses by investing in Cazza in March 2017, right when we were about to run out of money. He is extremely kind and caring and I look forward to having a lifetime friendship with him.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are?

My first investor in Cazza, Hisham Kalo. I felt so bad when the company funding was stolen mostly because I felt that I had disappointed him. He is an amazing person and even though I am no longer working on Cazza, I plan to give him a percentage of Kelsey Coin’s profits as well as equity in Our New World. I didn’t see it as him investing in Cazza, I saw it as him investing in my life. Therefore I feel the need to give him an amazing return on his original 100k USD investment.

What do you see as your greatest success in life?

When my fiance Denise came into my life, she absolutely changed my world without even doing it on purpose. Ever since she came into my life, I have felt complete.
