Movers & Shakers Interview with Zachary Babcock

Zachary Babcock

Tell us your name and a little about yourself.

My name is Zachary Babcock and I overcame extreme odds, half a decade in prison, and now I empower underdog entrepreneurs.

What exactly does your company do?

I help underdog entrepreneurs achieve their business goals.

What were the biggest challenges you have faced and how did you overcome them?

Starting a business with nothing after spending half a decade in prison. I overcame them by using what I call the “Underdog Advantage.” As an underdog, we don’t have all the resources like the top dogs do. We don’t have the network, money, and teams already in place. But we are battle-tested, scrappier, and hungrier than the rest of the playing field. We don’t need all the resources to win, we just need to be resourceful.

What piece of advice do you wish someone had given you at the start of your career?

Don’t compare your chapter 1 to someone’s chapter 22. Only compare yourself to the person you were yesterday.

Who are your biggest influences and people you admire and why?

My mother is number one because she believed in me before I did and was always in my corner no matter what throughout her lifetime.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are?

Once again, definitely my mother, but to give an example of who I model now is definitely Tony Robbins and Russell Brunson.

What do you see as your greatest success in life?

Making the decision to turn my life around and own it when I woke up in a jail cell to learn I was heading back to prison just 20 days before my sons were born.
