5 Marvelous Reasons To Keep Praying Even When You Don’t Want To

Published

on

Prayer serves as a means of communication with the Creator of the world. Unfortunately, many don’t pray. Have you stopped seeing the beauty of prayer and the importance of it? Don’t stop seeking God’s face. Keep on praying. Here are reasons to keep pressing on in prayer.

God created prayer

“Prayer is an acknowledgment that our need of God’s help is not partial but total.” Alistair Begg

Prayer glorifies God. God designed prayer because He wants you to pray to Him. Don’t waste what God has given us. God wants you to go to Him so that He can comfort you. God wants you to go to Him so He can use your situation to conform you. God wants you to run to Him so that He can answer you. It’s so easy to worry. Satan wants you to worry. Don’t give in to his distractions. Find a place where you can get alone with God and talk to Him. Trust in the one that created prayer.

Prayer gives us peace

“Because of the empty tomb, we have peace. Because of His resurrection, we can have peace during even the most troubling of times because we know He is in control of all that happens in the world.” – Paul Chappell

Prayer provides Christian men and women peace in the midst of chaos. Pray gives us hope in God instead of focusing on ourselves. It’s so easy to look at our problems when we are experiencing hardship. Prayer changes everything. Prayer gives us a deeper connection to God and a deeper connection with the Lord of the universe calms our soul because we realize who goes before us. Never doubt how much peace prayer can give. Don’t just think about your issues. Instead, start praying.

Open doors are right around the corner

The storm does not last forever. Think about it. Storms may seem dark and gloomy, but the sun will eventually come out. There will be a time where you will be enjoying beautiful sunny days and you do not want to give up before that happens. Don’t give up, your trial will not last forever. Don’t give up on what could have been. Keep on pressing on and look to God for strength and help. He will get you through the tough times that you are going through. “God is taking care of you, even when it seems like you’re all alone; believe me, God is working hard behind the scenes of your life.”

Quitting in prayer leads to consequences

Nothing good ever happens from quitting. Quitting and giving up leads only to more quitting and giving up. You never want to build a pattern of prayerlessness. A lack of prayer is a sign that something is wrong with your relationship with God. Also, a lack of prayer leads to spiritual dryness and other spiritual consequences. If you stop praying now, then you are only hurting yourself. To stop praying is to stop living and to stop living is to die. Would you rather die and leave it up to yourself or would you rather give it to the Lord daily and rest in the sovereign God of the universe?

God is doing a mighty work

Keep praying because God is moving. Just because you don’t see what God is doing does not mean that He is not moving. God is working behind the scenes accomplishing His will. Keep on believing Him. God will answer. I encourage you to wait on His timing. The Lord is beyond good and faithful. Never forget that! “Whenever GOD determines to do a great work, HE first sets HIS people to pray.” — Charles H. Spurgeon

Conclusion

Keep on pressing on in prayer! Pray that God gives you the strength to endure and trust Him with everything.
