Buzz Aldrin Gets Hitched: Moonwalkin’ Astronaut Marries the Love of His Life

Buzz Aldrin

Buzz Aldrin, a famed astronaut, wed Lois Driggs Cannon, his longtime love, on Valentine’s Day in a wedding befitting a starman. A select number of close friends and family members, as well as a few lucky fans who happened to be present at the appropriate time, attended the ceremony, which took place in the renowned Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.

At a party in 1988, Aldrin, the second person to set foot on the moon, met Cannon, with whom he has been inseparable ever since. Aldrin remarked, “I knew she was the one for me the instant I lay eyes on her. She is my dearest friend, my pillar of support, and my rock.

In spite of his outstanding accomplishments as an astronaut, Aldrin is renowned for his approachable character and sense of humor. He joked that he was “finally taking the leap” and “going for the stars with my beautiful wife” during the ceremony to keep things light-hearted.

Cannon, who runs her own successful business, looked gorgeous in a traditional white gown and a bunch of red roses. She said, “I’m so happy to have met real love at this point in my life. I am eager to continue to be with Buzz for the rest of my days.

The elderly couple, who are both in their 80s, intends to spend their calm honeymoon in a remote area before going back to their hectic life. Aldrin, a supporter of space exploration and education, will keep working on a variety of projects, while Cannon will keep running her company.

The newlyweds expressed their appreciation for the love and support of their friends and family as well as to the followers of Aldrin’s extraordinary adventure. They said that they were “simply two people in love” and that they were “so thrilled to share this precious moment with everyone.”

Aldrin may have set foot on the Moon, but it’s obvious that he still has his heart on Earth with his new bride. We send our best wishes to the happy couple for a long and happy life.
