It is time that Cyprus and Turkey should re-establish their relations by having free movement of goods, capital, services and people. The issue with Cyprus’ Turkish citizens being able to visit Turkey has been resolved by the introduction of the e-visa at the Turkish border.
This is a blog post about how Cypriot citizens can apply for a Turkish eVisa, what you need to do to get the visa, and other related information.
What is a Turkish Visa?

Turkish eVisa is an electronic visa which was introduced in 2013. It is available for citizens of certain countries, including Cyprus. The eVisa can be obtained online, and it allows stays in Turkey of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
How to Apply for a Turkish eVisa
In order to apply for a Turkish eVisa, Cypriot citizens must first fill out an online application form. The form will ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, and passport details. After the form is completed, applicants will need to upload a passport-style photograph. Once all the required information has been submitted, applicants will be able to pay for their visa using a credit or debit card. Once the payment has been processed, the visa will be sent to the applicant via email.
Which Countries Accept the Turkish eVisa?
Turkey has a visa policy that is very generous to citizens of many countries around the world. In fact, Turkish visas are available to citizens of over 100 countries.
However, there are a few conditions that must be met in order to qualify for a Turkish visa. For example, citizens of Cyprus and Greece are not eligible for a Turkish eVisa. Instead, they must apply for a regular visa at a Turkish consulate or embassy. Turkey eVisa
Fortunately, the process of applying for a regular visa is relatively simple and straightforward. However, it should be noted that the processing time for regular visas can take up to several weeks.
Citizens of Cyprus and Greece are not the only ones who are ineligible for a Turkish eVisa. There are also a few other countries whose citizens are not eligible for an eVisa. These countries include: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Syria, and Sudan.
If you’re a citizen of one of these countries, don’t despair – you can still visit Turkey! You’ll just need to apply for a regular visa at a Turkish consulate or embassy.
As a Cypriot citizen, you can apply for a Turkish eVisa if you are traveling to Turkey for tourism or business purposes. The eVisa is valid for 90 days and allows you to stay in Turkey for up to 30 days.
There are some restrictions on which countries accept the Turkish eVisa. You must have a passport from one of the following countries:
Australia
Canada
Japan

If you do not have a passport from one of these countries, you can still apply for a visa through the Turkish embassy or consulate in your home country.
