Branden Condy Didn’t Beat the System, He Went Around it Entirely

While young millennials fight to get their footing and make their way to the top of an economic system seemingly designed to make life difficult, Branden Condy found a way to simply rush past the system entirely.
Although the American economy as a whole has seen a consistent uptick over the last year, millennials across social media can be seen complaining that our economic system does not seem to be working for them. Either they feel like they are stuck in a financial rut and unable to grow within whatever job they currently hold, or they are simply unable to find a job that can fully support their rent payments, bills, and lifestyle. Branden Condy was in exactly that same situation no less than a year ago. He realized there might be a way to sidestep the American economic system almost entirely and practically just walk his way into personal success by becoming an Instagram influencer. Since then, he has built an impressive following of over 100,000 followers on the social media image-sharing platform, created a team of hundreds of affiliates, built hundreds of thousands in revenue, and went from being a struggling bartender to an entrepreneur and Instagram-influencing penthouse owner over the course of 45 days.
Where many Instagram influencers build their careers through nepotism-enriched affluence, Condy truly started at the bottom and worked his way up. He grew up in the type of situation many people only ever experience through movies and television. Condy often did not have enough food in his home and his family was evicted from their residences on more than one occasion. He learned early in life that it would be up to him to get himself to the top, so he has taken every step carefully and with due diligence. Nevertheless, his journey has not been an easy one.
No stranger to those financial hardships and the intense pressure and stress that the situation brings, Branden Condy is not your normal entrepreneur. Concerning how he is different from other Instagram influencers and entrepreneurs, he said, “I work hard because I’ve experienced first-hand poverty and that feeling of not stacking up to where the rest of society thinks I needed to be. Struggling through hunger and homelessness leaves an indelible mark on your soul, and I made a promise to myself that I’d never been in a situation like that ever again. My relentless drive and professional consistency come from an understanding of what difficulties really look like. It’s an understanding that many of [my Instagram peers] won’t ever have to grasp.”
He continued, “A lot of people just seem out for cash and recognition. If they fail they have family and friends who’d bail them out in a heartbeat. My rise comes from a somewhat different place and, though I almost hate to admit it, a lot of it is fear that my future will look a whole lot like my past.”
Branden is running a large and ever-expanding social media marketing company. Getting to that position included networking with everyone possible, providing value, and just generally being a good person. Currently, he still runs his marketing agency, but he also runs an Amazon automation company as well.
Seeing the success of other people working in business, Branden figured if they can do it why can’t he? This, in combination with his rough upbringing and seeing situations that he never wanted to be in growing up, is what motivated and propelled him to achieve his potential.
Branden believes the game of entrepreneurship is all about fully believing in yourself. You have to treat it like a game of chess and always be steps ahead of the game. It starts with the move of getting around the right people and taking the right risks!
Similarly to believing in himself, he also subscribes to the idea that mindset is the utmost importance in life, and everything happens for a reason. You have to sometimes slow down and ask ‘what am I gonna learn from this?’, not ‘why is this happening to me?’. Switching the connotation to a positive instead of a negative is a catalyst to a healthy mind.
Once you’ve got the mindset locked down, it’s time to build your business.
“Your business is only as successful as the people driving it. I believe that the employees are the most important part of any business looking to scale. Over the years I have learned that is not about me, it’s about my team eating first then myself,” says Branden.
When asked about how to deal with competition, ironically, Branden explains he differentiates himself by the status of his team. Communication and setting realistic expectations from the beginning is key. His team understands that in order for us to stand amongst the competition, they must always be available and on the same page for the client. That is built over time through great communication and reciprocation.
Before having a solid foundation to build a business upon, Branden recalls a turning point in his journey. At the time his car engine blew out, he was lacking money to tow it away and was left sitting on a curb, his thoughts about how to fix his car overshadowed by the looming thought of how to fix and take control of his life. Learning that you can get over anything overtime as long as you keep and train a strong mindset, he now proudly showcases his new G63 G-Wagon as a representation of never being in that situation again.
“Working all these different jobs like cleaning cars or being a boat boy just working or as a bartender just to know that I was so much greater than that and having a dream to start all these businesses and then one night to quit my bartending job and pack up my Jeep Wrangler at the time and drive across the country to start all these businesses and now all my business is thriving!” says Branden.
Moving towards the future, this entrepreneur and marketer have no plans on slowing down. “Everyday I wake up with a plan to grow myself physically, spiritually, and mentally. Once I have taken the important time for myself. I then move on to making sure my team is taken care of as well because when it comes to a team, you are only as strong as your weakest link!” states Branden. He’s also in the process of exploding his Amazon and marketing company, alongside building a massive YouTube channel in the near future.
“I want to be known as the guy that everyone respects. In everything I do, I always keep the term “leave your legacy” in mind because we are only here for so long. I want to be remembered as the guy that helped build others up to reach their full potential. Whether it’s building a business, working out, or simply helping build others’ confidence through my sense of style, that is how I want my legacy to continue,” concludes Branden.
“What I hope you can take away from this is to just fully believe in yourself and always take that risk because trust me I have lived it and it is worth it. BET ON YOURSELF!”
