Anthony Delgado Founder of Disrupt Speaks on The Importance of Over Delivering on Value

Anthony Delgado (born February 6, 1986) is an American software developer and internet entrepreneur widely known as a professional hacker in the developer community. Anthony Delgado has won numerous hackathons sponsored by Fortune 500 tech companies like Google, IBM, Intel, Facebook and Microsoft and hosted by organizations including Rutgers University, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, the AT&T Developer Summit in New York City.

His entrepreneurship tendencies started when he was 18 Selling on eBay and Amazon where he began making a lot of money by burning and sell mix-tapes, going from $50 a week to $3,000 a day using the internet. Those entrepreneurship tendencies have lead Anthony to where he is today. Currently, Anthony is busy running Disrupt and helping people create things that are awesome. Some of the well-known individuals and brands he has worked with include Gerard Adams, Grant Cardon, Tai Lopez, Steve Madden, Marvel Comics and K Swiss.

Anthony is one of the founders of fownders and over the last 18 Months, he has been building the Disrupt brand which includes a full-service digital marketing agency, podcast and media outlet/publication that can be found here: disrupt.digital. Disrupt also hosts entrepreneurial events that bring world-class speakers from around the world. All of this started after Anthony went to Puerto Rico to help with hurricane relief efforts after hurricane Maria. At the time Puerto Rico was in rough shape without power and water. Anthony says he realized economic problems were the worst because people with money had food, water and power and those without it, didn’t. He now is focused on educating about technology and bringing others closer to financial freedom.

He has a conference coming up called Disrupt Week Puerto Rico and its purpose is to be an educational vacation for people to disrupt their mindset. Disrupt has partnered with Build Your Empire and are bringing speakers like John Malott, Casey Adams, David Meltzer, Charlie Rapid, and Sam Bahkar. This coming after he just wrapped up his new real estate program “Real Estate Disruptors” with Ralph Dibugnara

During the interview with Anthony, he gave me three of his top three lessons he has learned throughout building all of this.

Lesson 1:  Network is your net worth –  He says the best way to increase your net worth is to use collaboration. Collaboration leads to better customers because of the referrals you get from the high-quality people who believe in you.

Lesson 2: Over Deliver On Value –  Anthony says a lot of people focus on the money first instead of over delivering on the value they can offer. Referral business is more valuable and when you over deliver on the value you give.

Lesson 3: Money Doesn’t Matter – Especially when getting started. When you’re starting out focus on building your network and over deliver on value.
