Jordin Roussell – Flip Your Life

To the outward eye, Jordin Roussell looks like a regular 23 Year Old from New Orleans, Louisiana. The fact of the matter is, he’s far from it. Jordin is the President of a massively successful real estate company, Gulf South Home Buyers, and the Author of the Amazon #1 Best Seller, “Flip Your Life”. 

His book, “Flip Your Life”, became an Amazon bestseller in under a week. It is what Jordin calls, “The Guide To Transformation And Increasing Your Value”, and after reading it I can see why. This book does not only have an amazing story of transformation but also offers serious tactical value. Jordin stresses the importance of having Five Essential Areas of Focus and challenges the readers to be wary of what they’re focusing on. Jordin’s Five Essential Areas of Focus are Physical, Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, and Financial. 

Another thing Jordin highlights is that Life is Made for Living, not just Existing. Jordin states that when he thinks about existing versus living, he means waking up when he wants too, traveling when he wants to, and going to lunch when he wants to. Many humans don’t get to live life on their own terms, and Jordin stresses that his definite aim in life is to do so. He tells a story of his Uncle Chris who had stage 4 lung cancer. One day Jordin went over to his Uncle’s house to see him on his death bed. His Uncle said, “Jordin, I want you to promise me that no matter what happens in your life, no matter what adversity you may go through or what obstacles you face, promise me that you will be successful. I need you to be successful.” That was when Jordin made his number one desire in life to become successful and provide for his future family one day. 

Jordin also stresses Truth and Vulnerability in this book. He says, “We live in a time where people portray a certain life or lifestyle on social media. But what they are showing you on the outside may not be what’s happening on the inside”. Which is very true, especially within the entrepreneurship community on the internet, people are always showcasing their amazing successes and big wins but never talking about their failures and the things that went wrong. 

Jordin had a very interesting path on his journey to success. He mentions early in the book that the love of his life for four years, cheated on him and left him depressed. It was the most major shift in life that he had ever been through. Jordin says it was because of that situation that he’s been able to do the things he has now. As an attempt to get back at his cheating ex-girlfriend, he faked his death and put a photo on Instagram. The plan backfired extremely, and he was detained and questioned for terrorism. Although this was a horrible situation at the time, this negated any chance of Jordin ever getting back with her, and he was headed forward on a new journey. 

Although he hit many amazing topics, the last one I want to write about is Personal Branding. This is something Jordin has leveraged heavily. For those who don’t know, Personal Branding is the act of building a brand around a person, very simple. Jordin goes into depth on this topic and definitely leveraged it to become an Amazon Number One bestseller.

After reading this book time and time again, my biggest takeaway is how disciplined he was in his whole journey and how he leveraged his bad situation and turned it into a massive positive. No matter who you are or where you come from, Jordin proves that it’s possible to see success with enough hard work and persistence. 

All in all, Jordin has had massive success for such a young age, but he’s normal as the rest of us. Jordin is on a mission to help other individuals Flip Their Life and live up to their true potential.
