Nick Rogers Looks to Shake Up the Industry With His Brand, Business Driven Dream

For Nick Rogers, entrepreneurship has always been in his DNA. From running a lemonade stand as a child to mowing lawns for his neighbors, Nick has always had the mindset of working for himself. By high school, however, Nick had fallen into the common misconception that the only route after high school is to attend college and get a degree. This leads him to the University of Pittsburgh, where he would only spend two short months into the semester before he made the decision to drop out. Although he didn’t have a set plan for when he returned home, he knew that piling up debt at school wasn’t an option.
Taking a leap of faith and venturing into the unknown can be one of the most daunting tasks for anyone, especially for a kid who decides to go against societal norms and leave college. Nick was willing to face this head-on, even if he didn’t have any support from those around him. To start, he got a job at a car dealership to raise the money necessary to invest in his initial business, drop-shipping products on the internet. By working in sales and building his own e-commerce business, Nick began to build his skill set in marketing, website building, copywriting, sales, and communication. He knew that he wasn’t passionate about what he was doing, but all of his experiences put him in a position to be successful working on his true passion: Business Driven Dream.
Business Driven Dream wasn’t founded to be the next get rich quick scheme, or because it was the “hot and trendy” startup idea. Rogers launched the brand with the long term goal of creating a cultural impact in the entrepreneurship space by both showcasing success and showing others how to find their own success.
Within 4 months of starting the BDD Instagram page, Nick was able to scale it to 100,000 followers organically. During that time, he quit his car sales job and decided to go all-in on his vision. While it started out as an educational Instagram page for young entrepreneurs, it has recently expanded into a presence on every social media platform, and a website that is a hub for world business news, success stories, courses taught by industry professionals, and a space where contributing writers can express their thoughts and talents in a blog section.
With all of Nick’s initial success, it would have been easy to go into auto-pilot and be satisfied with the current revenue he was bringing in. However, Nick’s vision isn’t to impact 100 thousand people. Nick says of his early success, “100 thousand followers is cool. But a website with one million monthly users is even cooler”. He knows that the trajectory he’s on will enable him to compete with the movers and shakers of the industry by the end of next year, and he has the mindset and relentless work ethic to make that a reality while remaining humble in the process.
It may be easy now for Rogers to have a positive mindset on a daily basis, but he hasn’t been successful throughout the whole process. When he began drop-shipping, he failed month after month trying to generate revenue with a specific product. In times that the average person would quit after experiencing multiple failures, Nick put his head down and continued investing time and money into his business until he found success.
With Business Driven Dream already off to a great start, Rogers and his relentless mindset have the ability to make a massive impact on the entrepreneurship space.
