When you hit home run after home run, people start to take notice.
In Zak Folkman’s case, he’s turning the average person into a legitimate e-commerce business owners through a series of simple step-by-step training videos and online coaching.
“I never planned on sharing this stuff with anyone. It wasn’t until my friends kept bothering me to show them that I finally gave in and did just so they would stop asking.”
The result was incredible. Soon after, Folkman started receiving text messages from his friends raving about all the sales they were making too. That’s when he knew he stumbled upon gold.
Eventually, more people caught wind of what he was doing and his inboxes were flooded. With everyone asking for help, Folkman barely had time to keep up with his own business.
That’s when he came up with the idea to bundle everything in a course. He figured he was already showing his new employees the exact same process every time. And he was walking everyone through the exact same steps each and every time.
A few months later, his online e-commerce training program was born. Less than a couple of years later, Folkman has hundreds of raving students who have gotten real-life results with real-life impact because of his video training.
What’s the secret to his student’s crazy high success rate?
There’s two reasons for it, he explains.
“Number one. I’m extra-ordinary at what I do. I’m not special in the sense that I had no prior skills, but at the same time I’m very special because I’ve devoted myself to learning this one skill for the last ten years.”
Folkman’s success is no accident, mistake, or some chance of luck. The reasons his students do so well is because he really knows what he’s doing based on past and current real-life experience.
“It’s like that Migos song, Walk it as I talk it. A lot of people out there coaching are doing it because they want to be a coach and think it’s a good way to earn a living. For me, I don’t care about the money, I‘ve seen what’s in the market and needed to set the record straight.”
The strategies Folkman teaches his students are what’s actually works in a really successful business. It’s not a theory or some educated guess. He’s literally teaching his students the things that are working in his very own businesses.
The second reason, according to Folkman, is because his business is built around outsourced and virtual employees.
“Because I employ many people who don’t speak English as a first language as I do, I’ve been forced to learn how to communicate clearly and efficiently so I can describe exactly what needs to be done to get the result I’m looking for.”
This ability is largely responsible for Folkman’s business and personal success.
Because he’s had a decade to master the skill of communication with people who often speak English as a second or third language, it’s a no-brainer when it comes time to teach someone who speaks fluent English, has previous education and is eager to learn.
