Solving The Disconnect: Cody Kerns Deals With The Problem Of Fake Followers And Helps Create A Better Social Media Presence

Many of us take a long time to understand what we would like to do in life. Even when we are looking for jobs, it can be hard to pin down what exactly we want to do. For Cody Kerns, that was not the case. He showed signs of interest in being an entrepreneur as early as the age of 13.
“Since the age of 13, I have had an entrepreneurial attitude. I created my own Chewing Gum Business in the 7th grade that allowed me to earn upwards of $200 per week. In high school, I sold electronics, sneakers, and other items.” Remembers Cody.
Cody then tried to grow his skills in business by attending business school at Coastal Carolina University. However, he quickly realized that this was not the right path for him and left school to work as a sales affiliate. From there, he began travelling around the United States and even the world. It is through this experience that Cody was inspired to create his own business and launch his company iComeUp.
“I attended Coastal Carolina business University and completed one year in the business management program. As a college dropout, I went on to become a sales affiliate with Vemma Nutrition where I have built an organization of over 600 customers and growing. Traveling the country and world, I have been exposed to a variety of cultures including Guatemala City in which I built houses for those in need. The life philosophies and business skills I learned throughout the past 8 years have now allowed me, at the age of 21 years old, to successfully launch his first company, iComeUp LLC.” Cody explains.
Cody’s began to realize that many people struggled to create their online presence. Many pages that Cody noticed on Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms had plenty of followers, but not a whole lot of engagement from those followers. The problem that Cody identified is known as fake followers for pages.
“You’ve seen the ads or you’ve been followed by one of these profiles that advertises free followers for small sums of money, and if you’ve tried it, you know it works….to an extent. Fake followers do one thing and one thing only; they give a profile the APPEARANCE of being popular. They offer random likes here and there, but other than that they are useless and on top of that, it’s easy to discern between a real profile and a fake one.” Says Cody.
It is from this issue that Cody’s business was born. He solved the issue of fake followers very easily: by finding real followers for online pages. His goal is to help people and companies increase their online presence so that they can have real interactions with real people.
“The solution? iComeUp Marketing. I took this disconnect and ran with it. The formula is quite simple; more real followers equals more real engagement, and more real engagement means more sales. It’s a numbers game. More followers means more people are viewing you, your brand, your product, or your service, and since we at iComeUp target your new followers based on niche and targeted demographics, it’s inevitable that you start seeing profits from your social media account.” Cody states.
With this in mind, Cody’s business has taken off. He has helped many people create an effective online brand and his company has made over 7 million dollars in sales. Though the decision to drop out of college was a difficult one for Cody, it has made all the difference. You can follow Cody on Instagram @icomeup, and you can learn more about his business on their website icomeup.com.
