The Wifi Lions – A Chat With Daniel Christoff

Earlier this week I had the chance to talk to Daniel Christoff, a 20-year-old entrepreneur from Ontario, Canada. During our talk I found out a little bit about Daniel’s background in entrepreneurship and how he demonstrated his passion for online business early, having been involved in multiple e-commerce startup businesses all before the legal U.S drinking age. Daniel now co-runs a digital marketing agency called “The Wifi Lions” with his business partner Sameer Khan and, after reading this, I think we’ll both agree that each of them is on a path of greatness.


Why are you in business?

“This may sound cliché but it’s because I want freedom. I am in business so that every single I thing I do on a day-to-day basis is something that will help me grow as a person. I thoroughly enjoy facing challenges and finding ways to overcome them with my business partner. Something a lot of people don’t realize is that running your own business can be very stressful, but extremely rewarding in the end, both financially and personally. You begin to develop so many skills such as confidence, leadership, management, and so many others that will help you outside of business as well.” 


What type of business are you in and why?

“I am in a marketing business, more specifically digital marketing or social media marketing. I have come to realize that this business is in high demand because people are now starting to understand the power of social media. Something I always tell my clients is that my partner and I are there for them. Thus, if they succeed, then we succeed. This way I make it known to them that genuinely care about our customer’s businesses and growth. There are so many side benefits that come along with this type of business and one of them happens to be that you help others! So my partner and I found a demand, we met it, and now we both genuinely enjoy helping other businesses grow and thrive into what they should be.”


What is your background? Education? Work Experience?

“So business wise I have a background in drop-shipping, there I learned how to find a niche, create websites, and click funnels; that would ultimately convince people all around the world, to input their credit card information and purchase my product. I am currently in my third year of University studying business. I have had a sales job pretty much my whole life, which is what has helped a lot with growing this business and communicating with clients and future prospective clients. I strongly recommend to people that if they are looking to start their own business, to grasp the idea of sales and understand the psychology behind it because it truly is an art. If you don’t have the experience, go get experience and start building your high-income skill. Theres no better feeling than closing a deal, trust me!”


Can you give me a description of your business?

“We are a digital marketing agency that helps businesses grow and thrive by offering services such as website creation, optimization, Click Funnel creation, Facebook ads, Instagram ads, Google SEO, etc…We do all of our content creation in the house for now as well. We are young entrepreneurs who understand the psychology of how people think when they see an ad since we are constantly seeing them ourselves.”


How long have you been in business?

“We launched our agency a few months ago, so far we have made some tremendous connections and have gained a ton of experience in the industry. Other e-commerce ventures, that I did in the past, were in motion for about a year and a half. So I’ve had around 2 years of industry experience.”


Do you have any partners in your business?

“Yes, my partner is one of my close high school friends. He is actually the one who got me into drop-shipping. We have very similar values which are why we work so well together and have such good chemistry. We do a lot of things together on a day-to-day basis because we both respect the value we each bring to the business. This way we learn from each other and continue to grow as individuals.”


Do you know who your competitors are?

“Yes, we are very aware of who our competitors are. We actually research them on a monthly basis to ensure that we are always a step ahead of them while offering the most value, regardless of the type of business.”


How do you market your business?”

“Currently we are marketing in a ton of different avenues. From cold-calling to running Facebook/Instagram ads, to writing out blogs and giving out as much value as we can. We believe that giving more than receiving is the best way to grow a brand which ultimately shows people how we operate our business.”


Do you plan to compete in the global market place?

“Absolutely, as soon as we get a higher number of clients, we are looking to expand to all of North America.”


Whom do you seek advice from for your business?

“Normally, the way we began to seek information was through the internet. We have recently found a mentor that we seek advice from on a regular basis.”
