This Entrepreneur Grew His Business By Learning This Time Management Hack

There’s no question that time management will make or break a business. Being productive in your business and personal life is key, but if you’re like many of us, you struggle with time management to get everything done. If you’re looking to take your business to the next level, it all starts with time management.

When you prioritize your time the right way, your workflow and productivity levels rise up and the final results are that much better. And if there’s one entrepreneur that understands this concept in and out, it’s Ali Zamany; a world-class speaker, investor, a master at multitasking and CEO of various companies across the country. For Mr. Zamany, he considers the mastery of time management so important, that he credits this as one of the most critical factors that allowed him to sell over $1 billion dollars throughout his life.

“Too many people want to become entrepreneurs but few understand the elements on how to get it done and not burnout in the process. In this age of social media there’s so much information being thrown around that it’s easy to get distracted and never finish what you started.” Mr. Zamany rightfully pointed out.

Sitting down with serial entrepreneur Ali Zamany taught me a key trick that has changed the way I plan and execute my daily tasks. The concept, known as “mini-days”, gets into the importance of dividing your day into a set of smaller sections, where you categorize your most important tasks of the day.

“Let’s face it: There will never be enough hours in the day to accomplish everything you need to do. But if you methodically review how you spend your days and instill focus and discipline while completing daily priorities, you will soon find more time to work on the long-term success of your business,” explained Mr. Zamany.
“Everyday that I have the equivalent of four mini-days. I wake up at 4-5 am to get ready for the day, and then get my kids to school, I go to work, and at night, I dedicate time to my family for a few hours and then I go back to work,” he added.

Below is an example of how this serial entrepreneur lays out his day into four “mini-days.”

1st Mini-Day (4 am- 7 am):

Early morning rush: I usually use this time to meditate, get ready for the day, I do my emails and set my agenda.

2nd Mini-Day (10am-4pm):

First work day: I am laser focus and I don’t get distracted by phones or social media and try to complete as many tasks as possible.

3rd Mini-Day (5pm-9pm):

Family time: I spend these 4 hours at home with my family. They are getting 4 hours of super dad, I give it all.

4th Mini-Day (10pm-1am):

This part of my business day: This is the time I use to finish what I couldn’t during the day.

There’s no question that each of us will set up their days differently. However, if you apply these set of principles correctly, not only will you 10x your business, but you’ll be able to 10x your whole life in the process.

After all, whether you consider yourself to be as busy as Warren Buffett, Elon Musk, or Ali Zamany himself, we all have the same 24 hours in the day. It’s just how we use them that makes the difference.
