World Cup Glory and Why Rashford Can Be One of Worlds Best

While the World Cup has been a great showcase of talent, there is one player who is catching the eyes of all the pundits around the globe. Rashford, the 19-year-old Manchester United forward, has been a revelation in recent years and if he can continue his form, he could well be one of the world’s best players. Having won the U-20 World Cup, and scoring a brilliant goal in the Champions League final, it’s easy to see why.

Argentina

Emiliano Martinez played a key role in Argentina’s World Cup victory. He was a crucial member of the Albiceleste’s penalty shootout win over France in the final.

In addition to the Golden Glove award, he also earned the Best Young Player award. Among his other achievements, he saved two penalties in the quarter-final shootout against the Netherlands and kept three clean sheets in the tournament.

The Albiceleste ended their 36-year wait for a World Cup trophy. They were able to do so because they beat France 4-2 in penalties after the game finished in a draw.

The win saw Argentina become the third team to retain the title after the 1930s Italians and Brazil. It also made Argentinian star Messi eligible for the Golden Ball – a trophy he won twice in 1982.

Messi

The World Cup has ended and Leo Messi is crowned the world’s greatest. He has won four Champions Leagues, won 10 La Liga titles, and has been involved in 21 goals for Argentina at World Cups. Now, he has been awarded his second Golden Ball.

Messi, the first player to score in each round of the same men’s World Cup, ended a 36-year wait for a title with a dramatic extra-time goal in his final game. Argentina defeated France 2-0 and took their place in the next round.

Kylian Mbappe was inconsolable on the France bench. The teenager scored a hat-trick in the last 16 of the World Cup, helping the hosts to victory in Russia in 2018. But he was a shadow of his former self in the final against Argentina.

Mbappe

One of the most important players in the World Cup final was Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. He saved two penalties and played a key role in the victory over France in a penalty shootout. His performance was so impressive that he was awarded the Golden Glove award for being the best goalkeeper in the tournament.

The Argentines’ lead was shortened by a fine goal from Angel Di Maria, which gave France hope. But they had to wait until the 80th minute to take the lead. And when they did, Kylian Mbappe was inconsolable on the France bench.

It was a heartbreaking sight. After 36 years of waiting for the biggest prize in world football, Messi finally won it.

With the tournament in the balance, Messi and his teammates rallied behind him and won the game. They also won the Golden Ball, as well as the Silver Boot and Bronze Boot awards.

Ousmane Dembele

Ousmane Dembele is a key player for Barcelona, who are making a bid to capitalise on Sunday’s Clasico in Madrid. The young Frenchman has been outstanding in recent weeks. His displays have led to doubts regarding his future.

Dembele will be free to leave in June. He could choose to join a new club in England. A number of Premier League sides are said to be interested in his services. However, he would likely prefer France. Among those who are keen to sign him are Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.

In the summer, Dembele will probably ask for a huge signing-on fee. He also has a lot of injury problems. So, United will have to get assurances that he can improve his availability yalla shoot .

Martinez’s post-match antics

After Argentina’s World Cup final victory over France, goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez went a little off-piste in his post-match celebrations. He did, however, make a memorable save in the shootout.

While he may not be the best player to have played in the tournament, the Aston Villa goalkeeper’s actions played a large role in the country’s victory. It is unlikely that he will face disciplinary action for his antics. However, he has shown no sign of slowing down, as he has continued to engage in provocative behavior.

His antics were not limited to the World Cup. During the tournament, he appeared to enjoy a good whack at French players. In the final, he was even seen teasing Kylian Mbappe during the dressing room.
