What inspired you to delve into the Fashion world?
I’ve always been interested in Fashion. I have to candidly admit even as a kid I used to make clothes for my Barbies. Through the years I’ve worked in many aspects of fashion from marketing, product development, retail, wholesale, forecasting, buying – you name it. But I’ve loved styling the most. As for styling, I’ve done everything from music videos, fashion week, magazine, billboards, TV & Film, etc – but mostly enjoy personal styling. Throughout all my jobs I’ve kept up with my clients’ styling appointments. I noticed in personal styling there are so many different “holes” in the market. I’m bridging those gaps for the everyday boss babes shopping a curated collection at the discounts that are offered to industry insiders, without having to sacrifice time and or luxury.
Tell us a little bit about Sample Feen
Do you go to a sample sale? It’s an absolute drama! The sales aren’t typically heavily publicized, and even if you find out about them they’re usually during work hours. People lose all moral fiber in those lines. I’ve literally seen scuffles. So Sample Feen is a way to bring a curation of stylish picks and a really concentrated collection of what my clients like all at sample sale prices.
To really just grow my business. Build my business in areas like the Midwest and places like Dallas and other southern areas. I want to bring all the LA access and savings to customers around the US.
What are some challenges and successes you’ve had in this industry?
The challenge of being at five places at one time is something I haven’t mastered yet, but I’m getting there. I’m constantly on top of trying to be there for the clients while managing new products. For successes, it’s tricky to answer, because you can say, “Oh I worked with this person and I did that,” but it’s all still a fleeting moment. If I say anything, I guess it’d be that my customers and clients are happy with the service I provide, and they’re constantly referring new customers to me. That means a lot and speaks volumes to my business.
Are you currently working on any new projects?
Yes, I started a series of shopping events called “Sample Feen Sundays” It brings the designer, the stylist, and all customers together for a super fun afternoon of shopping, cocktails and just genuine girl power. Our last one was a success. We were at capacity and everybody had such a good time, many of us forgot we were working.
There are salient changes occurring in policies and politics that are truly important, yet nonetheless equipping a woman with what she needs to seize the day is also important. Making a woman feel good is essential. Her clothes are her armor. It’s transcending energy when you feel good, you make other people feel good. Seeing people light up and get that little resurgence of confidence to conquer their day is invigorating for me.
How can our readers get in touch with you?
